Braintree Police say a 22-year-old man was arrested in town after a man was located with a stolen ATM.
Darryn Paul Pierre-King, with an address out of West Hartford, Connecticut, was arrested after a pursuit.
This morning around 3:15, a officer was on patrol near Common Street. He noticed a suspicious vehicle parked near a church.
He pulled closer, and saw two men standing outside the vehicle with an ATM on the ground. The men saw the officer, and fled.
One took off in a Honda CRV, the other fled on foot. The vehicle escaped after a short pursuit.
A perimeter was established, and a Braintree police K-9 located Paul Pierre-King hiding under a tarp in the backyard of a home.
The ATM was traced back to a breaking-and-entering from the Town of Wayland on Wednesday.
Paul Pierre-King is facing charges that include receiving stolen property, breaking and entering into a depository, and malicious destruction of property. He was arraigned in Quincy District Court this morning.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Braintree Police Detectives.
