January is national Human Trafficking Awareness month, and Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz says it happens right here on the South Shore.
He says since 2018, his office has been dealing with Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) cases. They’ve received more than 360 cases at their nationally-accredited children’s advocacy center. Training has been taking place in schools so teachers can recognize potential signs.
If people think a person or a child is danger, they should not hesitate to contact authorities.
