Most people stayed home during the blizzard that dropped two feet of snow around the region. On Sunday, some people in Duxbury and Marshfield flocked to hills for some sledding.

Near the top of Coast Guard Hill in Marshfield, a few kids dragged a hay bale, and piled snow around it to make a jump. Others went downhill in tubes, sleds, and skis.
12-year-old Julian Baker from Marshfield says it’s one of the biggest hills around.
“It’s really fun, when they’re done with the jump I’m going to go down there,” said Baker. “The jump’s really fun. Speeding down the hill at like 50 miles an hour is fun.”
12-year-old Lily Rose Kemp from Marshfield spoke with WATD as well.
“Going down the hill, and maybe not killing people,” said Kemp. “That’s too much paper work.”
“I just like the fun, hanging out with your friends, going down the hill,” said 12-year-old Cam Sherman of Marshfield. “If you want to have fun sledding, you should come here.”
North Hill Country Club in Duxbury was another destination for sledding. Pembroke parents, Ian Campbell, Scott Kelley, Rob Medico, Jim Cooley, and Greg Howe gathered near the top of a hill.
10-year-old Benjamin Morse of Duxbury just completed a run down one of the hills.
“The best feeling is when you go down, and the snow just pops in your face,” said Morse.
Lara Morse says it was a good snow day.
“It’s awesome. It’s just a great meeting spot for everybody,” she said. “It’s great to get all the kids outside.”
