Police vehicles were on scene, and helicopters hovered near a construction site between Forest Street and Union Point, the former Weymouth Naval Air Station.
The State Police confirmed the search is part of an effort to locate Brittney McCormack, a Hanover mother of two, who has been missing since the summer.
