Brockton Collecting Supplies For Ukraine

by | Mar 20, 2022

The City of Brockton is partnering with the Full Gospel Church in Westfield to collect supplies for the people of Ukraine.

City officials say they will be collecting items such as thermal wear, adult socks, first aid kits, containers for liquids (water, fuel, lubricants w/ a capacity of 10-20 Liters), and paper/plastic disposable tableware. The church has been sending supplies and donations to Ukraine via Polland since the attacks started, to provide direct assistance to the country.

The Brockton Emergency Management Agency will load the van and deliver the supplies and donations to Full Gospel Church at 3 p.m. on Monday.

The next round of donations is taking place currently with a deadline of Friday, March 25, which will then see the donations delivered to the church on Monday, March 28.

“This first round of supplies and donations we are sending overseas is another example of how local citizens can mobilize to effect global change,” said Mayor Robert F. Sullivan. “It is both heartwarming and inspiring to see our community rally together in a stand against the atrocities and injustices taking place in Ukraine.”.
