Fire In Scituate Causing Water Service Disruption

A fire is causing a disruption to water service in Scituate.
Town officials say there has been a fire at Go Green which will disrupt water service in the area for the next 12 to 16 hours.
Firefighters are on scene working with the owner to extinguish the mulch piles; however there may be some pressure loss and/or discoloration in the water service until the fire is controlled.
Officials also say that the Department of Public Works is doing maintenance to carbon filters at the water treatment plant which is offline.
Residents are urged to take necessary precautions conserving water and checking for discoloration and to allow the water to flush before using and check before doing laundry.
