As part of White Ribbon Day, Lieutenant Governor Karyn Polito was at the Whitman-Hanson Regional High School to speak to students about Domestic Violence Awareness.
State Rep. Alyson Sullivan, a survivor of domestic violence, told the freshmen and senior students about her experience. She started dating her future abuser as a sophomore in high school.
Sullivan and Polito urged the freshmen and senior students to learn the signs of an abusive relationship.
Polito and community providers discussed the “Respect Fully” campaign, with tips for healthy relationships.
