In Marshfield, a procession was held to welcome home First Lieutenant Ryan Griffin after a long deployment overseas.
Dozens of town hall employees and residents lined the Town Green Holding flags and signs, welcoming Griffin home.
Marshfield Veterans Agent Carin Paulette was deployed to Kuwait as part of Iraqi Freedom from 2005 to 2006 and served two decades in the Army National Guard. She knows what it’s like as a military spouse.
Town Administrator Michael Maresco says it was quite the show of support today.
Businesses along Route 139 had signs reading “Welcome Home,” and the police and fire departments escorted the family through town.
Griffin is a Bronze Star recipient, and was deployed over the past year in Iraq.
