Marshfield Town Administrator Michael Maresco updated the Select Board on the vaccination clinic at the fairgrounds.
He says to date, they’ve administered 86,000 vaccines. This includes Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson brands.
21,000 booster vaccines were administered during the recent clinics. 65,000 vaccines were administered during the first drive-thru clinics in 2021.
They were open for 53 operational days, and recently averaged 30 vaccines per day. 925 PCR tests were administered to residents at the site.
The clinic will now shift to Town Hall, on an appointment-only basis. Maresco says they will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
They’ll continue to test town and school employees at Town Hall. COVID-19 test kits are still available for residents.
Maresco says they are monitoring the COVID-19 variant that is currently spreading through Europe. They can ramp up testing and vaccinations if it’s needed.
