Norwell Teenager Killed in Marshfield Crash, Two Others Injured

A 17-year-old from Norwell was killed, and two teenagers were seriously injured in a Marshfield crash.
Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz says Nicholas Wanderley was a passenger in the single-vehicle crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Around 12:43 Sunday morning, Marshfield Police received a call reporting the crash near 172 Forest Street.
Marshfield Police and Fire located three males trapped in the vehicle. The 16-year-old operator was removed and was transported to Boston Children’s Hospital.
A 16-year-old male was transported to South Shore Hospital with serious injuries.
Early investigation indicates the vehicle was traveling south on Forest Street when it crossed the double-yellow line and struck a tree.
Marshfield, Norwell, and State Police are investigating the crash.
