Math made a fashion statement at Marshfield High School during Pi Day observances on Monday.
Lindsay-Leigh Consolati, the head of the school’s Math department, told WATD News that activities in previous years were curtailed due to storm cancellations and the COVID pandemic.
Consalati says that while the day is fun, it also aids in learning.
Consalati also says that Pi can be used to aid in monitoring tides and determining times for sunrise and sunset.
Pi Day is celebrated on March 14 because the numerical date, 3-14, matches the first three digits in the mathematical constant, 3.14.
