The Brockton boys basketball team is on their way to the Division 1 Sweet 16 after back to back playoff wins.
An 11-9 record was good enough to earn the Boxers the 26th seed in this year’s tournament, as well as an opening round home game against Lincoln-Sudbury.
After dispatching the Warriors 61-55, Brockton took to the road for Round of 32 action against the 7th seeded Lexington Minutemen. There, the Boxers would pull off the upset, beating the previously 17-2 Minutemen 59-58 to advance.
Brockton will now travel to 10th seed Needham on Wednesday night, hoping to score another upset and secure a trip to the state quarterfinals.
We sat down with Brockton’s Ezekiel Johnson, Niko Lutz, Dajon Burton, and Cameron Monteiro on this week’s Sports Exchange to talk about their incredible run, the season thus far, and their upcoming game with Needham.
