At least that’s what it felt like from inside the Scituate High gym Friday night where the Sailors dismantled the Revere High Patriots to the tune of an 80-41 playoff win.
Scituate had built a nice lead by the end of the first quarter, but pulled away in the second when they outscored Revere 25-6 to take a 29 point lead into the half.
From there, it was all a formality, as Scituate punched its ticket to the Sweet 16 and a visit with 4th ranked Leominster on Tuesday night.
We sat down with seven members from the Sailors team, Johnny Kinsley, Drew Belmarsh, Clay Belmarsh, Keegan Sullivan, Sam Benning, and Michael Porter, on this week’s Sports Exchange to preview that matchup, and talk about everything from one of the most competitive seasons in the Patriot League in history.
