The Town of West Bridgewater will be receiving a state grant for improvements to their water system.
The Baker-Polito Administration announced on Friday that the town would be receiving $7,890 as a reimbursement for the installation of a customer tap and a granular activated carbon filter.
West Bridgewater was one of 12 public water suppliers that were awarded a total of $950,728 through the Interim PFAS6 Response Grant Program which supports immediate efforts to address elevated levels of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS, in drinking water.
This is the second round of funding through the program, which is administered by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection.
