Eight Races, Ballot Question Decided at Halifax Town Election

Eight races and a ballot question were decided at the Halifax Town Election.

For Selectmen, Alexander Meade won a seat with 809 votes. Former incumbent Gordon Andrews had 382 votes. Jonathan Selig was elected to the other seat with 766 votes. Robert McCarthy had 231 votes, and Naja Robert Nessralla had 228 votes.

For Planning Board, Robert Gaynor, II won with 795 votes. Incumbent Gordon Andrews had 379 votes.

The Council on Aging override question was approved with 683 “yes” votes and 384 “no” votes.

For Board of Assessors, Robert Mullen won a seat with 437 votes. Holly Merry had 415 votes, Michael Schleiff had 237 votes.

For Constable, Thomas Hammond was re-elected with 678 votes. Thomas Schindler was re-elected with 612 votes. Michael Schleiff had 417 votes.

For Halifax Elementary School Committee, Karyn Beth Townsend was elected to a one-year term with 600 votes. Jennifer Ann Carroll had 508 votes. For a three-year term on the Committee, Jessica Page was elected with 584 votes. Peter Parcellin had 504 votes.

Donald Bosworth was re-elected to the Water Commissioners with 570 votes. Robert McCarthy had 520 votes.
