In Hingham, Voters Approve $8M South Shore Country Club Pool, Decide Four Contested Races

In Hingham, four contested races and a ballot question for the South Shore Country Club Pool were decided at the Annual Town Election.

After getting approval at town meeting, the $8 million dollar project was approved with 2,525 “yes” votes and 857 “no” votes.

For School Committee, Alyson Anderson was elected with 2,314 votes, Nancy Nes Correnti was re-elected with 2,113 votes, and Matthew Cosman was elected with 2,130 votes.

Matthew Lebretton had 2,029 votes in that race.

Randall Winters was elected to the Board of Assessors with 1,752 votes. Carlton Chambers, Sr. had 996 votes.

For Board of Health, Rosemary Byrne had 2,298 votes to beat former incumbent, Kirk Shilts, who had 877 votes.

Shilts was re-elected as Sewer Commissioner, with 1,446 votes. Joseph Kelly had 1,398 votes.
