It may still be four months until football returns, but the countdown to kickoff has begun with the conclusion of the 2022 NFL Draft.
As New England has become accustomed to over the years, the Patriots once again surprised on Draft night, spending their first round pick on offensive guard Cole Strange out of Chattanooga; a pick most pundits regarded as a reach.
The reaching wasn’t over there, however, as the Pats opted to take speedy wide receiver Tyquan Thornton out of Baylor with their second pick, trading up in the second round to get him with other, more highly regarded pass-catchers still on the board.
Trying to make sense of it all, the Sports Exchange boys brought in Jon Lyons of Dirty Water Media and the New England Football Journal to discuss.
