Meet Sophie! Sophie is a beautiful female Yorkie who is 5 years old (turning 6 in July) and weighs around 8 lbs . She has a beautiful dark coat and a full tail. 

Our friends at Yorkies Inc. tell us Sophie needs a home with at least one other small playful/confident dog with a fenced in yard. She would do best in a quiet home with not many visitors as she barks at strangers until she is comfortable with them. (She also barks at the vacuum cleaner :-). Sophie can be shy and standoffish at times but does follow the lead of the other dogs in her foster home. She loves to interact with other dogs and will join in being patted and loved when they are getting attention. She is also starting to want some attention on her own. Her former owners said that she is very shy and does not like a lot of attention and at times will hide. She is not a lap dog that will sit on your lap for hours, but she has begun to sit on the couch and cuddle in at her foster home. Sophie will need a patient home that will allow her to settle in at her own pace. She has made huge gains in her foster home with the help of the other dogs in the home and the team at Yorkies Inc. expect the same to happen in her forever home.
