Rosie the Cow Ventures towards Plymouth, Safely Corralled in Wareham

by | Jun 1, 2022 | News

A missing Wareham cow has been safely located.

The Department of Natural Resources says that Rosie the cow was first spotted on Tuesday near Rickie Lane in East Wareham. Wareham Police said on Wednesday she is home safe and sound.

At one point, she was being tracked by her owners in the vicinity of Maple Springs Road at the Maple Springs Wildlife Management area, heading towards the Charge Pond area.

Garry Buckminster, the Director of Natural Resources, says it was quite the chase to corral the cow.

Officials say Rosie appeared to be “very stressed” and they were asking people not come out to assist.

However, around 11 a.m. Wednesday it was reported that Rosie is “back home, safe and sound.” He says Rosie has gone adventuring before.
