An investigation is underway after a Department of Conservation and Recreation worker was assaulted at the Myles Standish State Forest.
Massachusetts State Police say the incident took place shortly after 2 p.m. Saturday at Barrett’s Pond in Carver.
The 63-year-old worker told a Massachusetts State Trooper and Massachusetts Environmental Police Officer he was slashed in the face by a woman after he told her the Pond Gate was closed and entry was prohibited.
She then left the scene with a male companion and, despite an extensive search, she wasn’t located.
The victim sustained what is described as a superficial injury and was treated at the scene by Carver EMS and declined to be transported to a hospital.
The suspect is being described as a Hispanic female with a thin build wearing a blue T-shirt and a bathing suit.
The male companion is being described as a black male wearing a red T-shirt and black shorts.
The vehicle they drove away in what was described as an older model dark-colored Toyota coupe.
