The crew from Rolling Thunder kicked off the third annual Veteran’s Music Festival Benefits and Career Expo at Pageant Field in Quincy on Saturday, an event which Veterans Voice Host Gregg Brasso says continues to grow.
One of those 150 tables included Sue Katz of American Consumer Credit Counseling.
Taylor Hall of Ginger Betty’s Bakery in Quincy was also on hand for the event.
The city’s Assistant Veterans Service Officer, George Bouchard called it a great way for veterans to learn about all the services they’re entitled to.
State Senator Patrick O’Connor echoed that sentiment, saying an event like this showcases how Massachusetts supports veterans through state, local, and private initiatives.
There was also plenty of music on hand from groups including the Fat City Band, along with medieval combat displays by The Northern Horde, and axe throwing, as Ed Kulikowski of Crazy Axes in Hanover explains.
An ambulance crew was called in to help one person who appeared to be suffering from heat exhaustion.
Veterans Voice Radio can be heard Thursday nights at 7 p.m. at 95.9 WATD FM.
