Pembroke Police say a suspect was arrested after a hit-and-run crash and pursuit in town.
Jonathan Sarceno, 40, of Duxbury is facing numerous charges.
Around 10:23 on Saturday morning, multiple 911 calls reported a serious motor vehicle crash near 682 School Street (Route 27).
Police located the vehicle that fled the crash near Pembroke High School, and the operator failed to stop for police.
A pursuit ensued, which continued onto narrow, wooded trails.
During the chase, officers saw the driver of the vehicle reaching around the car, raising concerns he may have a weapon.
Initially, he eluded police after driving under a downed tree, which his small car was able to get through, but not marked police cruisers.
The vehicle was located on Bersani Circle, of Mattakeesett Street (Route 14).
A K-9 track followed, Sarceno was located in the basement of a small home nearby, and was arrested.
He’s facing charges that include Operating with a Revoked License (subsequent offense), Leaving the Scene of a Crash with Personal Injury, Operating Under the Influence of Drugs (third offense), and Possession of Class C and E drugs.
