State Representative Matt Muratore, of Plymouth joined WATD to discuss House Bill 4929.
The bill would give patients more say in pursuing a specific course of medical treatment recommended by a doctor, rather than an insurance company.
Muratore says this would protect patients from a practice called “step therapy,” or “fail first,” which requires people to try one or more treatments dictated by the insurer, before they can be covered.
