Plymouth Town Moderator Steven Triffletti and Christine Buckley joined WATD’s Christine James in studio to discuss brain aneurysm awareness.
Buckley is the Executive Director for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation.
Triffletti is a survivor of a brain aneurysm, he was driving on Route 3 in Plymouth and was rear-ended by another vehicle. After tests, a unruptured aneurysm was found.
Buckley says brain aneurysms are more common in women than men, especially in ages 35 to 60. They are common in families, and in those with high blood pressure, and smokers.
Common symptoms include eye pain, flu-like symptoms, or the worst headache of their life.
