A truck and its driver have been located after being seen going into the water in Hull.

Police Chief John Dunn and Fire Chief Christopher Russo say that shortly before 3 p.m. Sunday multiple 911 calls reported that a pickup truck and its driver drove onto the beach in the area of 180 Main St., and then drove into the water.

The truck and its driver, identified by Massachusetts State Police as an adult female, were located in the water at approximately 6 p.m. following a large search by the Hull Harbormaster, Boston Fire Department, the Massachusetts State Police, Massachusetts Environmental Police, the Massachusetts Port Authority, the U.S. Coast Guard and Cohasset Police.

The Norwell Fire Department provided station coverage.

The incident remains under investigation but officials say there appears to be no foul play.
