Art Joseph, Jr. and Norwell Fire Chief Dave Kean joined WATD to discuss the CERT – or Community Emergency Response Team program.
He says they’ll hold the first training session in three years, in October. This will include the towns of Cohasset, Hanover, Hingham, Norwell, Rockland, and Scituate.
Chief Kean says the teams help augment public safety, especially during, and after incidents.

The training dates in the fall are currently scheduled for Tuesday, October 18; Thursday, October 20; Tuesday, October 25; and Thursday, October 27.
The locations are to be announced, but all applicants will be notified.
