In Marshfield, 9/11 Remembrance Ceremonies were held at the Fire Station, and the Boys and Girls Club.
Fire Chief Jeff Simpson says it’s important to pause, and reflect each year.
At the Boys & Girls Club, Marshfield was one of 75 communities across the country where names of the nearly 3,000 people victims of the terrorist attacks were read out loud.
65 names were read in honor of those from Massachusetts.
Nikki Schiro says she worked with Scott Peterson, the CEO of Global Youth Justice, to bring the event to town.
Town Administrator Michael Maresco was one of the speakers at the event.
Anne Ostberg of AmeriCorps says that service can be of any size to have an impact.
The Flag of Honor Memorial Project started in 2020, and included 60 communities. It continues to grow each year.
