Dr. Barry Potvin, the chair of the Plymouth Board of Health, says the state of emergency for COVID-19 has been lifted in town, and in Massachusetts.
It is still in effect according to the United States Department of Health and Human Services.
Potvin says the FDA and CDC approved new vaccines for the omicron variant of the coronavirus, the Moderna one is approved for 18 and older. The Pfizer-BioNTech was approved for 12 and older. The new vaccines should be available in a week or two.
