Ahead of the November General Election, Rockland Town Clerk Liza Landy joined WATD with a simple reminder for voters: check your registration status.
On Primary Night, hundreds of voters were inactive because they did not respond to the town census.
People can still vote if they have identification, such as a driver’s license, state ID, or utility bill.
She says it’s quick and easy for Town Clerks to find out a person’s voter status, that’s why she’s urging people to find out before election night.
