Two people have been found dead near Wollaston Station.
MBTA Police say that at approximately 6 a.m., the operator of a Red Line train reported seeing two people on the northbound Red Line just north of Wollaston Station.
Crews were called to the scene and emergency personnel found a man and woman, both of whom were deceased.
A preliminary investigation has determined that the deceased were not struck by a train.
Police say that Red Line service is being replaced by shuttle buses between Quincy Center and JFK/UMass Stations, in both directions while the investigation into the incident continues.
