This high school football season, we’ve got a new series here at WATD. Each week, the Sports Exchange boys will draft a fantasy football team comprised of five local players–one quarterback, two running backs, and two wide receivers/tight ends.
In a bit of friendly competition, we’ll see whose squad wins out each week.
Statistics will be used to calculate points on a modified fantasy scale, with touchdowns worth six points, quarterbacks receiving one point per 25 yards passed, and every 10 yards rushing or receiving earning one point as well.
Week 1 Results
Quinn took home the win in Week 1 thanks to big time performances by Will Baker (Cohasset), Casious Johnson (Plymouth South), and Chad Silva (Oliver Ames). His squad featured the top player at each position, with Baker, Johnson, and Nate Caldwell (North Quincy) setting the pace in each spot.
Below is a statistical breakdown of each team’s performance.
The Week 2 Draft
Week 2’s draft order was determined by the Week 1 results, with Johnny taking the first pick, Brendan the second, and Quinn the third. Our drafts are not snake format, so the first pick of every round was Johnny’s, the second Brendan’s, and the third Quinn’s.
