In Marshfield, voters at Special Town Meeting considered a warrant that included purchase of property at 225 Furnace Street, and $3.6 million dollars in budget transfers.
School Committee Chair Sean Costello spoke in favor of Article 6, which was for the purchase the former St. Mary’s/St. George’s Church. The school plans on using the site for pre-school and kindergarten.

The $1 million dollar purchase was approved 167-34, 83 percent of voters in favor.
A CPC article for $126,000 for a trail near the Harbor Park was not approved.
Under Article 5, voters approved items that included using $120,000 for improvements along Brant Rock.
DPW Superintendent Tom Reynolds on the improvements:
A citizen’s petition was approved to name land at Plymouth and Ocean Street, the Veteran’s Memorial Garden. The petition asks the town to allow an irrigation system to be installed, at no cost to the town.
