Republican State Representative Alyson Sullivan, of Abington, joined WATD to discuss her re-election campaign.
The district includes Abington, East Bridgewater, and Whitman.
Sullivan has been the State Rep. for the district for the past four years. Before that, she worked in Administration and Finance for the state. She worked as a victim advocate for the U.S. Attorney’s Office, and was an intern for the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office. Sullivan worked as an assistant to a judge in Boston immigration court.
As a survivor of domestic violence, Sullivan has been an outspoken advocate, supporting legislation to provide tools and resources to help others who have been impacted.
She wants to continue the work started by Governor Charlie Baker and Lieutenant Governor on those issues.
Her opponent, Brandon James Griffin, is representing the Workers Party, and is on the ballot for the November election.
