There was one fatality, and 17 people were treated at hospitals, after a vehicle drove through the Apple store at the Derby Street Shops in Hingham.
Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz says there is an active criminal investigation into the incident. A male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified as 65-year-old Kevin Bradley, of New Jersey.
South Shore Health officials say there are currently treating people with life and limb-threatening injuries.
Cruz says 14 people were transported to South Shore Hospital, and two people were transported to hospitals in Boston.
Tables inside the store were destroyed, personal belongings were scattered along the sidewalk and the store.

Apple released a statement, saying they were “devastated by the shocking events,” and the “tragic loss of a professional who was onsite supporting recent construction at the store.”
