A Rockland man has been arrested and is facing federal child pornography charges.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office says 40-year-old Donald Caruso was charged with one count of distribution of child pornography, and one count of possession of child pornography.
According to the charging documents, an investigation found a user on an online communication platform was distributing child sexual abuse material.
The user – identified as a Caruso, sent links to an undercover agent with folders containing child abuse.
Early forensic analysis of computers seized at his home found similar material.
Caruso was held pending a detention hearing, which was scheduled for Thursday.
