Car Crashes Into East Milton Square Christmas Tree

Milton Deputy Police Chief, Jim O’Neil, spoke with WATD about a crash that happened early Friday morning in East Milton Square.

O’Neill says that at 4:11 a.m., a 2012 Ford Fusion struck the Christmas Tree in Manning Park.

The 37-year-old female driver was traveling East on Adams St., when she left the roadway, and entered Manning Park.

The driver knocked over a bollard, and struck a light pole, causing damage at the base.

The 2012 Ford Fusion came to a stop when it hit the Christmas tree. There is no damage to the tree.

The female driver was transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Milton, via by ambulance.

Deputy Chief O’Neil says that the driver did not appear to be under the influence, however, she was issued a ticket with two citations: one for Negligent Operation of Motor Vehicle, and a second for Marked Lanes Violations.

The officer on scene also filed an immediate threat report to the registry.
