Shortly after Georgia Senator Raphael Warnock won his runoff election, giving Democrats a 51-49 lead in the U.S. Senate, Arizona Senator Kyrsten Sinema switched her registration from the Democratic party to become an independent.

WATD Political Analyst John Creed says this is unlikely to impact the current balance of power in the Senate.
