A Weymouth man pleaded not guilty to murder charges in connection to the deaths of a Marshfield couple.
Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz says 27-year-old Christopher Keeley was arraigned today in Plymouth District Court. He was held without bail.
On November 29th, 72-year-old Carl “Buddy” Mattson and 70-year-old Vicki Mattson were found bludgeoned and stabbed in their home on Gotham Hill Drive after police conducted a well-being check.
Their dog was found dead in the home, but Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz says more veterinary follow-up was needed.
Keeley was an acquaintance of the Mattsons, and was identified as a suspect.
He was arrested in Miami Beach on December 2, after police officers there responded to a call where a man was attacked and suffered a serious head injury.
Keeley was located nearby, and was arrested. He waived rendition and was transported back to Massachusetts.
He’s due back in court on February 28th.
