In Plymouth, the town is home to thousands of dogs and for the owners of those pets, the Town Clerk would like to remind them that dog licenses are about to expire.
Town Clerk Kelly McElreath:
“We have about ten thousand dogs, based on the records that I can see here in town, so dog licenses for 2022 expire on December 31st, so we’re urging all dog owners to get new dog tags for 2023.”
And to do that, McElreath says there are several options:
“There’s three options, you can definitely stop by the Town Hall—we love to see any of the residents to come in and register their dog in person. They can also do it by mail and they can also go to the website and do it online. The website also has the information how to mail in your dog information as well.”
The town’s website can be found here and dog license fees are fifteen dollars for a spayed or neutered dog or twenty-five dollars for an intact dog.
And the Town Clerk’s advice to dog owners is, “…register your dog and make sure that the rabies is up to date and stop in and get that new tag, so we can keep track of all the dogs in town and make sure everyone is safe in case the dog gets lost.”
