Cohasset Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 39-year-old woman.

Chief Bill Quigley said at a press conference that Ana Walshe was last seen at her home during the early hours of January 1st.

“In the early morning hours, approximately 4 or 5 a.m.,” said Quigley. “She was reported missing Wednesday, simultaneously we received reports from her employer in Washington D.C., as well as her husband.”

He said Walshe is an executive for a property management company, and takes flights to Washington weekly. She was called to work due to an emergency at a property she manages.

It was reported that she took a ride share from her home to go to Logan Airport. Initially, she had a flight booked for January 3rd.

“We have been in contact with the ride share companies. We have not been able to confirm that she actually got into a ride share service,” said Quigley. “That being said, we know that there’s situations where ride share services – Ana is a person that commutes to D.C., and sometimes the drivers go offline, they don’t go through the actual rideshare service. They’ll contract with the fare themselves. We have detectives working on that right now. At this point, we cannot confirm that she actually got into a rideshare in Cohasset.”

Quigley said they confirmed with the airlines that she did not board an airplane this week. Police have received numerous tips from family and friends. Walshe has three small children, between ages two and six.

Quigley said Walshe has a vehicle, which is usually left at a townhouse in Washington.

“The vehicle is in D.C. We were able to confirm that, we’ve been working with Washington D.C. Metro Police,” said Quigley. “They’ve searched the townhouse, there’s no signs of her there.”

A search with K-9 has taken place at the Cohasset home and the adjacent area. Quigley said that may resume Friday afternoon.

Walshe’s husband and family have been fully cooperative with the investigation. State Police, and detectives from surrounding towns continue to investigate.

She is 5’2″ and weighs 115 pounds. She has brown hair, brown eyes and has an olive complexion. It is believed that she speaks with an Eastern European accent.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Cohasset Police Department, Detective Harrison Schmidt, at 781-383-1055 x6108 or email hschmidt@cohassetpolice.com.
