WATD’s Christine James has this…
It’s expected 47-year-old Brian Walshe will be arraigned in Quincy District Court Wednesday.
State and Cohasset Police have been searching for 39-year-old Ana Walshe since she was last seen at her Cohasset home in the early morning hours on New Year’s Day.
Walshe, a mother of three, worked as an executive for a property management company, and traveled to Washington weekly.
In court, Assistant District Attorney Lynn Beland detailed evidence that investigators found a knife and blood in a basement.
Brian Walshe provided statements to investigators about his movements after his wife’s disappearance that were not substantiated. This included a trip to a Home Depot in Rockland, where Brian Walshe was accused of purchasing a tarp and cleaning supplies.
His attorney, Tracey Miner, argued that Walshe has been fully cooperative with investigators.
A search was conducted at a Peabody transfer station, and a dumpster in Swampscott. The Norfolk DA’s Office says a number of items were collected, and are being tested for evidentiary value.
Investigators have searched in Washington, Cohasset, and nearby towns for evidence in the case.
