Sweet senior Daisy is 15-years-old. Her person passed away and Daisy found herself without a home at her advanced senior age. Our friends at the Scituate Animal Shelter tell us she is a good girl who loves a good walk and a cozy bed to curl up on.
Daisy has a host of medical issues, as you can imagine any senior pup would. The shelter will work with the adopter to ensure Daisy is kept comfortable and monitored to continue to make sure Daisy has good quality of life.
Like a true beagle, treats are life for Daisy! She tends to use a hard mouth to take them, so because of that we are suggesting a home without little kids who may not know the safest way to present her with a treat.
Daisy is indifferent to other dogs. Given her age and health we would prefer her in a home without rambunctious puppies. Daisy is fine with cats, she doesn’t care to chase them. Daisy is not much of a barker like other beagles can be. She wants to go to the bathroom outside but you can imagine that she may have an accident or two inside, par for the course when adopting a senior.
This older lady was truly loved by her previous person. We want to make sure Daisy finds a home that will ensure she only knows the best life has to offer.
Open hours are Wednesdays 1:30-6pm and Saturdays 10am-2pm at the shelter. You can apply for animal at the shelter during open hours or online by emailing adopt@scituateanimalshelter.org and asking for an application.
Meet and greets with animals are scheduled after applications have been processed and it’s been determined you are the best fit. The shelter does not operate on a first come, first served basis.
