A Braintree man is facing charges after fleeing from police.
Holbrook Police say that they received a 911 call on Tuesday reporting an erratic driver who was seen pulling behind a business in town.
Officers found the vehicle, which was still running.
Police say the driver, Matthew Connell, became uncooperative and put his vehicle in drive and fled at a high rate a speed, pulling one officer approximately 20 feet before they were able to free themselves.
A BOLO was issued for Connell and he was arrested by Braintree Police before being brought back to Holbrook for booking on charges of Operating with Suspended driver’s license; Failure to stop for police; and Assault and Battery on a police officer dangerous weapon.
He was held on a 2,500 dollar bail and transported to Quincy District Court.
