A vehicle crashed into a home in Hanson.
Hanson Police say that shortly before 7 a.m. Tuesday crews responded to reports that a vehicle had crashed into the house at 1283 Whitman St.
The driver, a 49-year-old Hanson woman, was extricated from the car by Hanson firefighters and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries.
She was the only occupant.
There was a person in the house at the time, but they did not report any injuries.
The house sustained extensive damage and the town’s building inspector responded to the scene to evaluate its structural integrity.
Eversource also responded to the scene because the home’s water and gas lines were severed.
The crash remains under investigation.
Police say the resident will be able to return home once water and gas service is restored.
