An investigation is underway after suspicious activity was reported in Hingham.
Police say the incident took place in the Liberty Pole neighborhood, at around 4:45 a.m. Friday, when a Hitching Post Ln. resident noticed two people, dressed in black, in her driveway, near her parked car.
The people took off once they realized that the resident had noticed them, running towards Hancock Rd.
The resident then saw that an interior light was on in a neighbor’s car, as it was parked in the driveway.
Police say both cars were unlocked, but that neither resident reported anything to be missing.
Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the two suspects.
Residents are being reminded to make sure their doors are locked.
