There are three articles on the warrant for tonight’s (Monday) Special Town Meeting in Milton.
The first article involves considering Saturday a holiday when it comes to scheduling election dates.
Article 2 calls for changing the Town Treasurer/Collector from a position that is elected under to a position that would be appointed by the Town Administrator.
Article 3 would authorize the Select Board to purchase a piece of property from the Sisters of St. Joseph at 930 Brook Road. However, the order withdrew from negotiations with the Town and the Select Board will likely ask that the sent back further study.
Milton Special Town Meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at Milton High School.
