Baby Girl Successfully Delivered By First Responders In Middleborough

Some first responders in Middleborough helped to deliver a baby girl on Friday.
Fire officials say that at approximately noon they received a 911 call for a woman in labor.
Firefighters Michael DesRoches and Jason Myers along with Police Officer Caitlyn Berger arrived on scene where they found the expectant mother in active labor.
They were able to deliver a healthy baby girl with help from Brewster Ambulance Service paramedics.
The mother and baby were transported to a nearby hospital, and were both reported to be in good condition.
Middleborough Fire Chief Owen Thompson issued a statement praising the firefighters, police officers and paramedics involved in the delivery saying, “Our team did an outstanding job today. They worked quickly and professionally to ensure the safety and well-being of both the mother and baby.”
