In Plymouth, for the first time, the upcoming Spring Town Meeting will be held using the hybrid format, now permitted because of state legislation passed last year. This plan allows Town Meeting Members to appear in person or to participate remotely.

Town Moderator Steven Triffletti:
“Plymouth’s Annual Spring Town Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, April 1 at 8 a.m. at Plymouth North High School. Chapter 291 of the acts of 2022, is an enabling statute, now authorizing that the Town of Plymouth can hold a hybrid town meeting.
This will be similar to the Town Meeting held last fall:
“…except for the fact that we will not have a separate room for mask only. We will not have the library for other people—other than Town Meeting Members, rather everyone will gather in the Center for Performing Arts. Moreover, in the fall 2022 Town Meeting, those Town Meeting members that had COVID, or were ill, or had exposure, could not attend, and now, with the current hybrid model, they could still attend and participate at home.”
Town Meeting Members who would like to participate remotely should notify Town Clerk Kelly McElreath before Friday, March 24, by phone, at 508-322-3301 or by email at kmcelreath@plymouth-ma.gov.
