Norfolk County District Attorney Michael Morrissey says a Cohasset man has been indicted on charges in connection to the murder of his wife.
A grand jury issued three indictments against 48-year-old Brian Walshe — murder, misleading police/obstruction of justice, and improper conveyance of a human body.
He was accused of murdering and dismembering 39-year-old Ana Walshe – a mother of three young children.
In January, Brian Walshe entered a plea of not guilty to the charges in Quincy District Court. He is being represented by attorney, Tracey Miner.
Ana Walshe was reported missing on January 4th. Investigators later found blood and a damaged knife in the basement of their Cohasset home.
In district court, prosecutors say phone records and surveillance footage indicate Brian Walshe traveled to apartment complexes in Brockton and Abington to dispose of trash bags. It’s alleged he discarded trash bags near his mother’s home in Swampscott.
A search of a transfer station in Peabody found a hacksaw, blood stains, a necklace Ana Walshe was known to wear, and a COVID-19 vaccination card in her name. Ana and Brian Walshe contributed to the DNA that was left behind.
An arraignment date will be scheduled in Norfolk Superior Court.
