The Muslim Holy Month of Ramadan begins Thursday night.
Dr. Khalid Nasir, Imam of the Islamic Center of New England in Quincy, tells WATD News that special prayers are also included in Ramadan observances.
Nasr says that when the COVID pandemic began a few years ago it impacted many Ramadan observances.
Now that COVID restrictions are lifting there has been a return to normalcy.
Dr. Nasir also says that this year’s observances will also be easier because of where Ramadan is on the calendar.
Ramadan ends on the evening of April 20.
